Mistakes...Life's Game Changers

Mistakes, mistakes, mistakes. this is the term given for some action done wrong, or unjustified. But then, these mistakes are done by each and everyone here... I mean, come on! who didn't do a single mistake? be it big or small?. well, so the thing is that these mistakes, at times, teach us many valuable lessons, and on the other hand, some mistakes give a bitter pain which is a sign of repentance.

Let's see my case. I am basically a short-tempered guy, I pick on fights easily, I don't know how to speak, what to speak, it's a huge thorn in my life, which taught me many lessons, and left me with many painful moments. and when it comes to trust, it takes a good amount of time for me to build trust and then later, it is because of my actions that the trust is broken. in the words of Ernest Hemingway, "The best way to find out if you can trust somebody is to trust them.". here, when it comes to my case, I've broken the trust which I had since a long time due to my mistakes. I broke relations with family at times, lost my friends, well-wishers, and even people who were initially close to me. all my mistakes left me with only one thing in my mind. "why am I even alive after all this? what is the purpose of me living after I've done many unforgivable things? why did I hurt so many people who trusted me?"

While all these questions resounded within me, I went into depression for many months, no food, no sleep, basically, I turned my life into a living hell with my own actions. my granny always used to say one thing, "there is never an issue if you can't make someone happy. but do ensure that you must never make people sad." At first, I didn't know why she said it. later I began to ponder over her words. I have hurt many people. and thought they gave me a second chance, I still did mistakes, again and again. and believe me when I say this, each and every day I ask God for just a final chance. I've done a mistake. I hurt someone. if I had another chance, I would try my best to make any amends.

Then, a realisation dawned upon me. People do mistakes. on some cases, unforgivable ones, despite all that, they still have some good in them which constantly raises an alarm whenever some mistake is about to be done. The one thing a person should do is comply with that alarm, refrain from doing that mistake. That's it. If you try from doing any mistakes in the first place, then you wouldn't have a sense of repentance which clings on to you till your judgement day.

So, one should have the heart to refrain from doing mistakes, if done, have the courage to own it, and should also forgive when someone hurts you...

Ultimately, I don't know how many people will ignore me, how many will shun me, but a true friend of mine always forgives and forgets a mistake done by me.

Similarly, learn from mistakes, but forget the incident. just remember and stick to the value...

This is just something which was present in my mind for a long time... hope it helps you, good reader.
