Femininity is divinity...
When you go out like a YouTuber who asks questions, and ask, “who is a girl? Or how do you define a woman?”. You just get plenty of diverse answers. Of all those answers, the similar thing you’d be hearing I guess is that a girl is a gender. She is a counterpart of a man. According to Oxford, “A woman is an adult female human being”. But is that really it? Well, I got a slightly complex, but befitting answer to this question, in my opinion. Well, I feel that femininity is a highly important component of nature. A woman, an adult human being, is that one key with which the world works. Now, you may be thinking on a superficial level, but nope, I’m just trying to reiterate the importance of women in everyday life; and not just humans, females are there in animals, birds and even minute insects.
You have a yin and yang, that is balance. And women are
the angels of restoring balance. Throughout history, they have fought for
peace, rights, freedom, honour, dignity, empowerment, security, ethics, etc.
but I feel history wasn’t fair with them. Please do bear with the length of
the coming context as it is highly prudential. Thanks!
The roots of injustice against women starts right from myths
and folklore. In Hinduism, Sita was forcefully abducted, Draupadi was harassed,
Devaki was in jail, etc. women were denied their rights and dignity since
1500BC. Social evils like “purdah, child marriage, sati, polygamy,
hypogamy, female foeticide, infanticide, dowry system, domestic violence,
harassment, devadasi system, Kanyasulkam, etc.” were the toxins
introduced by the society. Many of these exist even now, unfortunately…
Then, women had to fight, to end wars, to preserve their
dignity, to stop social evils, discrimination, to get equal status as men in
the world and most importantly, to make their woes be heard to the entire
world. Yet, they aren’t getting what they deserve. But despite all that, men
need a mother to care for them, a sister to play and fight, a girlfriend to
roam, a wife for food after mother, but y’all don’t be needing a daughter. what
is wrong with those unaware, illiterate freaks?
There was a girl I knew. A shy girl who was a really sweet soul. All was fine till class 8, we played, fought, ate snacks, shared notes, went on the same bus. But fate isn’t always good. Her father isn’t with her anymore. Her mother married another man. And this guy, the stepfather, wasn’t caring at all. He harassed her and troubled her a lot. Though she tried to protest, her family said, “he’s your father! He would never think of you in such a way.” But they were wrong. He continued his torture till the family got aware and went to court. Though they cast him away later, he filed another case and is wanting custody. Now he’s back and he wants to sell her off. The height of inhumanity! Due to all that mental trauma, she tried to commit suicide and slit her hand multiple times. After learning this, I just got teary-eyed. All I said was,” if you have a problem, you got your friends, who always got your back. Be brave, bold and strong. No one can even dare to touch you”. Before she felt she was alone, not anymore now…
Look, guys, having friends among girls, conversing with them,
being friends, hanging out, all these are just chill if u give them their
personal space and maintain some decency with them. But there is a, I would say
freak-cult of guys, who flirt, trouble, pass comments, especially derogatory
ones, etc. what is the need for that?
Oh yeah, I just forgot this, if you have a friend, a girl,
always make sure that u become her brother. Help her out, guide her to be bold
in times of crisis, empower her to face her obstacles and reach her destiny.
That gives a sense of satisfaction, which is a lot worth more than money.
I dedicate this to each and every woman out there, getting
her place in this world and ruling her destiny. A woman is just like a teabag.
You never know her strength until she is in hot water. Women are said to bear
more pain than men. Every woman is a warrior in her own aspect. She must never
be insecure and always face her fears in a bold manner.
“Educate a man, you educate an individual. Educate a woman and you can educate a family.”- A.cripps.
